Dr. Augustino is the Owner and Optometrist at Oak City Vision Center.  She is an Optometrist licensed in the states of North Carolina and New York.

Education

She grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she had her eyes set on the medical profession and healthcare delivery from an early age. This desire lead her to East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN where she received her Bachelors of Science in Public Health with a focus in Healthcare Administration.  Following completion of her undergraduate degree, Bianca obtained her Doctorate of Optometry (OD) degree at Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry.

Training

Upon completing her Doctorate, Dr. Augustino decided to begin her career in New York City where she saw patients in over fifteen different clinic settings.  After some time in the city, she realized the south was where she wanted to ultimately land and decided on Raleigh, North Carolina.

Simba Augustino

Simba Augustino Golden Doodle Eye Doctor dog puppy Oak City Vision Center Optometrist

You can find him at the office every day lounging in the waiting room, sleeping in one of his many beds around the office, or lending a helping hand to patients picking out frames in our Optical Shop!

Fun fact: he has the best style advice!

Simba was the first employee and is consistently voted

"Favorite Staff Member" of Oak City Vision Center.

(Although he frequently sleeps on the job)

Dr. Augustino has published editorials for Women in Optometry Magazine, VSP,  NewGradOptometry, and Optometric Insights covering various topics.  An avid conference attendee and networking opportunistic, she currently serves on The Vision Councils Young Professionals Advisory Board as a contributing doctor.

When she's not growing her business or seeing patients, Dr. Augustino enjoys snuggling her dog Simba, cycling, playing tennis, and trying new food in the Triangle.
