Children's Eye Exams are essential for ensuring your child’s visual development and overall well-being. At Oak City Vision Center, we welcome children aged 6 years and older, offering comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.

Many parents assume their child’s vision is fine because there are no complaints, but children often don’t realize they have a vision problem. If a child is born with a vision issue, they may not know what clear vision looks like or have anything to compare it to. Early detection is critical to identify and address vision problems that could affect learning, development, and quality of life.

To provide the most thorough evaluation, all children are dilated during their first visit to our office—no exceptions. This allows us to detect any underlying eye conditions that may not be visible otherwise and get THE most accurate reading of their eyes, ensuring we catch potential issues early.

If a serious condition is diagnosed that falls outside our scope of care, we will refer your child to a trusted specialist to ensure they receive the appropriate treatment. Our priority is your child’s vision and health, and we’re here to support them every step of the way.
